Welcome to the SAAJE Homepage  

SAAJE, a nonprofit association, was founded to promote Japanese language and culture education in Southern Arizona.  Its membership includes professionals and nonprofessionals involved in the Japanese language, in traditional Japanese arts and crafts, and in historical and contemporary Japanese culture.

Additionally, the SAAJE website provides an integrated guide to language classes, cutural events, clubs and associations, and goods and services related to an interest in Japan.

INVITATION PROGRAM FOR JAPANESE AMERICAN STUDENTS
JUNE/JULY 2014
 
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will sponsor a group of five Japanese American high school students to travel to Japan June 27  July 8, 2014
for the opportunity to learn about Japan and to promote mutual understanding and exchanges between Japanese and Japanese American younger generations.

Japanese Bamboo Flute (Shakuhachi) Concert with Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos

Yume Japanese Gardens presents Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos, a Dai Shihan (grand master) of the shakuhachi. 
Grand Master Ramos will be playing a selection of traditional melodies as well as a number of his own compositions.
This is a limited seating event -- don't miss it! Admission is $15 for members, $17 for non-members, and $20 at the door.
